Leaving Tubbercurry

Photos of my grandparents life. They were both born near Tubbercurry, County Sligo, Ireland. Interestingly enough, even though they grew up less than 5 miles from each other, they did not meet until they had emigrated to New York. These photos are both from their lives in New York and the world they left behind.

This is my personal family history site. I am not a professional genealogist. Although I try to be accurate and to document my findings, I find it it more compelling to tell a story and fill in the edges of the picture. I attempt to point out where I am guessing or where a particular piece of my puzzle is really a wing and a prayer, but no guarantees are offered. If you find something of interest, follow my sources.
